Bombers Close Out the Season with a Big Win Over North Newton! The Lady Bombers went out with a bang in their final match of the season, defeating the North Newton Spartans in 2 thrilling sets. Set 1 saw the Bombers dominate with a 25-14 win, and although Set 2 was a little closer than we’d hoped, our girls pulled through in classic Bomber fashion, clinching the victory 25-20. With this final win, the Lady Bombers wrap up an impressive season, finishing with a record of 8-6! Serving it up strong: Ella Ferrand was on fire, serving 14/16 with 2 aces. She was unstoppable at the line! Brynlee Urbano was absolutely lighting up the court, going 9/11 and serving an incredible 7 aces—what an arm! Taylor Weems was perfect, serving 4/4 with 1 ace. Brynnlee Dunlap stayed consistent at 4/4. Aela Ademi was 3/3, and Aubrey Luttrell added 3/4 with 1 ace. At the net, we were all about the power! Brynlee Urbano hammered down a whopping 14 kills, leaving no doubt who owned the net tonight! Taylor Weems added 3 kills, while Aela Ademi, Ella Ferrand, and Kenzie Martin each contributed 2 kills. Tips: Urbano continued to show her aggressive style at the net with 8 tips. Ademi was right there with 4 tips, Ferrand with 3, Weems with 2, and Kenley Hamstra sneaking in 1! Assists: Ferrand led with 4 assists, setting up her teammates for success. Luttrell followed with 3 assists, while Ademi added 2. Weems and Ariana Whisker each had 1 assist, helping keep the offense rolling. Defensive powerhouses: Ademi and Urbano held the line with 1 block each. Weems led the digs with 6, while Luttrell chipped in 4, Murillo added 2, and Ferrand contributed 1. Passing perfection: Weems was 7/9, Luttrell 4/8, Hamstra 2/3, Ferrand 1/1, and Whisker and Murillo each went 1/2. It’s hard to put into words just how proud I am of this group of athletes. From the very first practice to this final game, they have come to practice ready to work hard and always gave me 110% with a positive attitude and an unwavering team spirit. It’s been an absolute joy to watch them grow and improve, both individually and as a team. These young athletes have poured their hearts into every play, every match, and it’s shown in the way they’ve come together to finish this season strong. A huge thank you to our amazing parents, fans, and supporters—your energy and encouragement made all the difference this season! To my athletes, I’m beyond excited to see you continue to grow and shine in high school. I know this is just the beginning of many more victories for you! Finally, a special shoutout to our fabulous team manager, Trella McCooley, who was a tremendous help this season—thank you for keeping us organized and ready to win! We’ll be celebrating with a well-deserved pizza and awards party tomorrow to cap off this amazing season.
