Lady Bombers Light Up the Court for Their Final Home Match Win! The 8th Grade Lady Bombers put on an electrifying show Monday evening as they hosted the West Central Trojans for their final home match of the season. With the gym lights dimmed and the crowd’s phone lights twinkling, the Bombers were announced to the court, ready to defend their turf one last time at RCMS—and they did not disappoint! In true Bomber fashion, the team came together like never before, executing flawless offense and shutting down the Trojans on defense. The Bombers secured the victory in two hard-fought sets, winning 25-21 in Set 1 and 25-20 in Set 2. The energy was off the charts as this talented group of athletes showcased just how far they’ve come this season! Serving up Success: Brynnlee Dunlap went 9/10 with 1 ace, keeping the momentum going with every serve! Brynlee Urbano stayed steady and perfect at the line, going 6/6 with 1 ace. Taylor Weems rocked the court with 6/8 serves and 2 aces. Aubrey Luttrell chipped in with 3/4 serves and 1 ace. Aela Ademi and Ella Ferrand were flawless, each going 2/2. Assists: Ella Ferrand was setting her teammates up for greatness with 8 assists. Aubrey Luttrell dished out 4 assists, while Susie Murillo added 2. Blocks & Kills: Taylor Weems was an unstoppable force, shutting down the Trojans with blocks and hammering down 13 kills! Brynlee Urbano followed up with 11 kills, bringing the heat at the net. Ella Ferrand added 2 kills, while Aela Ademi chipped in 1. Tips: Weems again led with 8 tips, with Urbano sneaking in 6, and Ferrand added 2. Digging Deep: Aubrey Luttrell was everywhere on defense, racking up 12 digs. Murillo and Weems each held strong with 8 digs apiece, followed by Dunlap with 6. Ferrand contributed 4 digs, while Urbano added 3, and Ademi with 2. Whisker and Pinkerman also made key defensive plays with 1 dig each. Passing Precision: Murillo 11/15, Weems 8/9, Luttrell 8/11, Dunlap 6/6, Chapman 2/2, Ademi and Pinkerman 2/2, and Rodibaugh 1/2. This win is a testament to how much this team has grown and evolved since the start of the season. Their teamwork, communication, and desire to win have taken them to new heights, and they continue to excel as a unit. The improvement in their game has been nothing short of remarkable, and as their coach, I couldn’t be prouder of their accomplishments and the heart they’ve shown on the court. Next up, the Lady Bombers will travel to North Newton on Tuesday, October 15th, to face the Lady Spartans in their final match of the season. Let’s go, Bombers—finish strong!
