Lady Bombers Battle for the Win Over South Newton Rebels! The Bomber gym was buzzing with energy tonight as both Bomber and Rebel fans packed the stands! The A team kicked off the night, dominating set 1 with a score of 25-11. Set 2, however, slipped away from the Bombers as communication faltered and missed serves cost us the set, 23-25. But in true Bomber fashion, the girls rallied together for set 3, sealing the deal with a solid 15-7 win! The A team now holds a 4-3 record and continues to sharpen both offense and defense every time they hit the court. A Team Stats: Serving: Ella Ferrand was on fire, going 13/16 with 1 ace; Brynlee Urbano stayed cool under pressure, hitting 12/12 with 3 aces; Aela Ademi nailed 9/11 with 1 ace; Brynnlee Dunlap & Aubrey Luttrell kept the heat on, both going 5/7 with 1 ace; and Taylor Weems dropped bombs from the line, going 5/6 with 1 ace. Assists: Ella Ferrand dished out a whopping 20 assists, setting up the offense like clockwork; Aubrey Luttrell chipped in 2 smooth sets; and Aela Ademi, Brynlee Urbano, and Taylor Weems each added a clutch assist. Kills: Brynlee Urbano was a powerhouse with 6 kills, smashing the ball down with authority; Taylor Weems wasn’t far behind with 5 thunderous kills; and Ella Ferrand & Ariana Whisker each had 1 rocket of their own. Tips: Brynlee Urbano was crafty at the net with 8 well-placed tips; Taylor Weems added 5 sneaky tips; Aela Ademi chipped in 4 smart tips; and Kenley Hamstra caught the defense off-guard with 2. Digs: Ella Ferrand hustled for 2 key digs, keeping the defense alive. Passing: Aubrey Luttrell was a passing machine, going 17/22; Taylor Weems delivered with 15/16 pinpoint passes; Ella Ferrand went 8/10 with precision; Brynnlee Dunlap was perfect at 7/7; Susie Murillo kept the ball in play with 5/7 solid passes; Aela Ademi was perfect at 5/5; and Kenzie Martin & Brynlee Urbano added 2/3 each, with Kenley Hamstra going 2/2. The B team also hit the court for one set, showing off their skills against the Rebels but falling short, 16-25. Their record is now 1-2, and they’re ready to keep pushing for improvement! B Team Stats: Serving: Quinn Chapman delivered a flawless 4/4 with 1 ace; Kenzie Martin added 3/5 serves; Greenlee Pinkerman kept the pressure on with 2/5; Maria Lopez chipped in 2/4; and Avalynn DeLaney went 1/2 with a solid effort. Assists: Greenlee Pinkerman ran the offense with 4 sharp assists; Kenley Hamstra set up 2 perfect balls; and Quinn Chapman & Maria Lopez each added 1. Kills: Kenzie Martin smashed 2 kills, showing no mercy at the net! Tips: Kenley Hamstra, Maria Lopez, and Kenzie Martin each threw in 1 clever tip to mix up the attack.
