Lady Bombers Show Grit in Tough Battle Against North Judson The Lady Bombers' A team fought hard last night against the North Judson Lady BlueJays, but ultimately fell short in a 0-2 match, bringing their season record to 1-2. Despite the loss, the girls demonstrated resilience and a never-give-up attitude that should make everyone proud. In the first set, the Bombers came out with determination, but the Lady BlueJays’ powerful serving quickly put the pressure on. The Bombers were challenged from the start, and North Judson managed to pull away, taking the first set 25-12. Between sets, Coach reminded the team of their talent, encouraging them to play with a winning attitude and as a unit. Key points like communication and executing their practiced skills—covering, opening up to the ball, and setting up for the hit instead of free-balling—were emphasized. In the second set, the Lady Bombers came out fired up, ready to turn the game around. They played with passion and teamwork, pushing the Lady BlueJays to the limit. Although they came up short with a 21-25 loss, their effort, focus, and determination were undeniable. Serving for the Bombers: Brynnlee Dunlap 6/8 & 1 ace, Taylor Weems 3/5 & 2 aces, Brynlee Urbano 2/6, Aubrey Luttrell 2/4, & Ella Ferrand 1/3 Kills: Aela Ademi 5, Brynlee Urbano and Taylor Weems each with 3, and Kennedy Rodibaugh with 2 Tips: Aela Ademi 2, and Taylor Weems 1 Digs: Ella Ferrand and Taylor Weems each with 1 Leading the Bombers in Passing was: Taylor Weems 27/30, Aubrey Luttrell 20/27, Ella Ferrand 17/20, Brynnlee Dunlap 10/12, and Brynlee Urbano 10/11. While the scoreboard didn’t go in our favor this time, the Lady Bombers are proving that they have the heart and the talent to compete at a high level. Every game is a learning opportunity, and the grit these girls are showing will undoubtedly pay off. As they continue to build on their skills and teamwork, big things are on the horizon for this squad. The Lady Bombers A team will be back on the court on Monday, 9/16, when they travel to take on the Winamac Warriors. With the fire they showed last night, it’s clear that this team is ready to bounce back stronger! Go Bomber's!!
