JV Bombers Traveled to John Glenn and Came Away With the Win.

Rensselaer Central Junior Varsity Bombers were victorious against John Glenn Junior Varsity Knights 10-6 on Saturday. John Glenn Junior Varsity Knights got on the board in the first inning after Messer grounded out, scoring one run. Rensselaer Central Junior Varsity Bombers jumped back into the lead in the top of the second inning after Avery Cawby grounded out, and Tytus James walked, each scoring one run. John Glenn Junior Varsity Knights took the lead, 3-2, in the bottom of the third thanks to singles by Messer, and Turnage. Rensselaer Central Junior Varsity Bombers flipped the game on its head in the top of the fifth, scoring seven runs on two hits to take the lead, 9-3. The biggest blow in the inning was a double by Dyson Henderson that drove in three. Tyson Cotner earned the win for Rensselaer Central Junior Varsity Bombers. The starting pitcher allowed 11 hits and five runs (four earned) over six innings, striking out six and walking three. Messer took the loss for John Glenn Junior Varsity Knights. The pitcher went three innings, giving up eight runs on three hits, striking out five and walking seven. Kildow opened the game for John Glenn Junior Varsity Knights. The pitcher allowed two hits and two runs over four innings, striking out one and walking eight. Will Belden collected the save. Henderson and Random Rusk were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected two hits for Rensselaer Central Junior Varsity Bombers. Cawby led Rensselaer Central Junior Varsity Bombers with three runs batted in from the number nine spot in the lineup. The left-handed hitter went 1-for-4 on the day. Rensselaer Central Junior Varsity Bombers had a strong eye at the plate, tallying 15 walks for the game. Logan Beaver, Noah Forrestall, and Cotner led the team with three walks each. Cawby and Cotner each stole multiple bases for Rensselaer Central Junior Varsity Bombers. Rensselaer Central Junior Varsity Bombers ran wild on the base paths, accumulating 10 stolen bases for the game.
