Bombers travelled up to Lake Station and came away with a 56-28 victory on Friday Night. Bombers had scores from all 3 phases of the team, led off by 78 yard kick return touchdown by Kale Stokes after the Eagles went up 6-0 to open the game. Lake Station came back and hit a 83 yard td pass to go up 14-7 in the 1st quarter but a 21 point 2nd quarter took the Bombers into half up 28-14. Beck Drone hit Luke Belden on a pass that set up a Josh Johns TD run to make it 14-14, then defense held and a Drone to Rashad Claybon 30 yard pass set up another Johns TD run to make 21-14, finally, to end the 2nd quarter was Drone to Claybon one more time for 16 yard touchdown heading into the locker room. Bombers kicked off the 2nd half and Lake Station went on a 7 min drive and completed a 4th and 10 pass for a touchdown to cut the lead to 28-20, on the next Bombers possession, the drive hit a snag when a screen pass was tipped and intercepted, however the Defense held and Claybon got the 1st of the teams 4 2nd half interceptions and quickly the Bombers took that turnover and converted into another Josh Johns TD run from 5 yards out to push the lead to 35-20. Entering the 4th quarter was when Luke Belden collected his Interception which led to the Bombers 1st play to be a 67 yard pass from Drone to Claybon to set up yet another short yard Johns TD plunge to push the game to 42-20. The next two defensive possession both ended with scores as both Kale Stokes and Jackson Jones intercepted the ball and got to the end zone, 43 and 32 yards each, that pushed the lead to 56-20 and a running clock. Lake Station hit a long 80 yard run to set up the final score of the game as time was running down. Beck Drone was 13-16 for 293 yards and 1 td and 1 int. Rashad Claybon was 4 catches 153 yards and td Kale Stokes 3 catches 39 yards Josh Johns 13 carries 75 yards and 4 touchdowns. John Yallaly was perfect 8-8 on PATs.
