The JV Bombers capped off an impressive season Monday night with a convincing 34-12 victory over the Winamac Warriors on their home field. The Bombers wasted little time getting on the scoreboard as Cooper Sinn broke through for a rushing touchdown to give the offense an early boost. Quarterback Merrick Drone added to the lead with a short touchdown run, and Sinn powered in the two-point conversion to put the Bombers firmly in control. Before halftime, the Bombers struck again through the air. Drone connected with Mason Kellner on a beautifully thrown touchdown pass, while Chantz Rice added the extra point to extend the lead to 21-6 heading into the locker room. The Bombers opened the second half with one of their most impressive drives of the season, controlling the ball for nearly seven minutes and methodically marching down the field. The drive ended with Drone finding Harrison Veldman for a touchdown pass. Rice's extra point was good, stretching the lead to 28-6. Cooper Sinn added his second rushing touchdown of the night in the fourth quarter, helping the Bombers put the game out of reach. Rice finished the evening 2-for-3 on extra-point attempts. The Warriors found the end zone late, but the Bombers' defense and balanced offensive attack were too much to overcome as they secured the 34-12 victory. With the win, the JV Bombers closed the season with an outstanding 6-1 record, a testament to the team's hard work, development, and consistency throughout the year.
