BOMBERS BATTLE AT WCJC! Lady Bombers Earn a Win and Keep Fighting! The 8th Grade Lady Bombers traveled to Lafayette Central Catholic on Saturday to compete in the WCJC Volleyball Tournament! After an early 6:30 a.m. departure, the Bombers shook off the morning rust, found their rhythm, and battled through three matchups! MATCH 1: RENSSELAER vs. TECUMSEH The early start showed in the first set as the Bombers fell 12-25. They treated that set as their warm-up and came back playing more like themselves in set two, but came up short, 18-25. MATCH 2: RENSSELAER vs. LAFAYETTE CENTRAL CATHOLIC The Bombers found their groove and played great team ball, taking the match in two sets, 25-21 and 25-21! Great teamwork and serving pressure helped the girls get the job done! MATCH 3: RENSSELAER vs. WEST LAFAYETTE With third or fourth place on the line, the Bombers faced a tough West Lafayette squad with powerful hitters. The girls continued to battle and gave their best effort, falling 15-25 and 10-25. Facing strong attackers provided a valuable opportunity to learn, adjust, and grow as a team! We’ll celebrate our 8th graders in style during their final home match before they turn the page and begin their high school volleyball journey!
