The Bombers hosted Culver Academy Monday night at the Harrison Complex and wasted little time taking control of the game. The Bomber defense came out strong, forcing a turnover on downs on Culver's opening possession. The offense quickly took advantage, marching down the field and finishing the drive with a short touchdown run by freshman running back Cooper Sinn. After another defensive stop, the Bombers went right back to work. Sophomore quarterback Merrick Drone connected with sophomore wide receiver Caleb Parrish for a touchdown to extend the lead to 12-0. Mason Kellner powered in the two-point conversion, giving the Bombers a 14-0 advantage. The sophomore duo of Drone and Parrish was just getting started. The two connected for two more touchdowns before halftime as the Bombers took a commanding 30-0 lead into the break. The Bombers added to their lead in the second half when freshman running back Mason Kellner broke free for a long touchdown run. Culver Academy managed to find the end zone in the second half, but the Bomber defense remained in control as the JV Bombers secured a convincing 38-8 victory. The 5-1 JV Bombers return to action next Monday when they host Winamac at 5:30 p.m. for their final game of the season.
