Bombers Seniors wasted no time to get their year off to a bang by starting early and often against county rival Kankakee Valley, defeating them by score of 52-7. Bombers opened the game with a great kickoff by SR John Yallaly, followed by a defensive 3 and out where they pushed the KV team back to the 1 yard line, which they punted it away to midfield. First play on offense, SR Beck Drone found SR Landon Musch on a swing pass, who was sprung by fellow SR Luke Belden and Jackson Jones for the touchdown, Yallaly PAT was good, and before everyone was in their seats the Bombers were up 7-0 and never looked back while racking up over 350 yards of offense by the Varsity in one half and a defense that gave up on 2 first downs and 36 yards before turning it over to the reserves for most of the 2nd half of running clock. Bombers scoring barrage was led by Musch, who had 15 carries 107 yards 3 touchdowns and 3 catches 76 yards and 1 touchdown,. Kale Stokes had 2 catches 2 touchdowns and 47 yards, also having a long TD called back in the 1st quarter. Luke Belden punched in a score in the 3rd quarter to go with his 57 yards on 8 carries. Beck Drone was 7-13 for 147 yards and 3 touchdowns leading the way to 21st First downs. Yallaly was perfect 7 for 7 on PATS and finished the 1st half for the Bombers with a monster 40 yard FG to put visitors up 45-0 at Half. Bombers will host North Newton next Friday in their home opener.
