Rensselaer Central Varsity Bombers Take The Win Over West Central Varsity Trojans

Tytus James collected five hits in five at bats, as Rensselaer Central Varsity Bombers defeated West Central Varsity Trojans 11-5 on Friday. James doubled in the fifth inning, singled in the sixth inning, doubled in the seventh inning, and singled in the first inning. Rensselaer Central Varsity Bombers got on the board in the top of the second inning after Owen Hege walked, Jackson Jones singled down the right field line, and Rensselaer Central Varsity Bombers scored on a wild pitch, each scoring one run. Rensselaer Central Varsity Bombers took the lead, 6-5, in the top of the sixth thanks to singles by Ollie Rusk, and Tytus James. Rensselaer Central Varsity Bombers scored five runs on six hits in the top of the seventh inning. Kaiden Jimenez singled, scoring one run, Hege singled, scoring two runs, an error scored one run, and a wild pitch scored one run. Cayden Webb earned the win for Rensselaer Central Varsity Bombers. The starter surrendered 11 hits and five runs (one earned) over seven innings, striking out four and walking one. Rensselaer Central Varsity Bombers tallied 16 hits in the game. Rusk and Hege each drove in two runs for Rensselaer Central Varsity Bombers. Johns, Jones, and Henderson each collected multiple hits for Rensselaer Central Varsity Bombers. Rensselaer Central Varsity Bombers turned one double play in the game.
