Big Fifth Inning Leads Rensselaer Central Varsity Bombers Past Winamac

Rensselaer Central Varsity Bombers scored six runs in the fifth inning, which helped them defeat Winamac 11-1 on Friday. Joshua Johns drew a walk, scoring one run, Tytus James drew a walk, scoring one run, an error scored one run, a wild pitch scored one run, and Cayden Webb drew a walk, scoring one run. Rensselaer Central Varsity Bombers flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the fourth, scoring five runs on four hits to take the lead, 5-1. The biggest blow in the inning was a double by Jackson Jones on a full count that drove in three. Tyson Cotner earned the win for Rensselaer Central Varsity Bombers. The starting pitcher allowed seven hits and one run over five innings, striking out five and walking one. Jackson Jones went 1-for-4 at the plate and led the team with three runs batted in.
